Second hand stuff.......

I have discovered that you can save literally thousands by looking out for auctions that dispose of commercial liquidations and public service refresh stock.
Over the last few weeks I have bought bluetooth head sets $4, mobile phone $70, digital hands free house phone $10, Westinghouse wall oven $250, wooden bookcase $15, wooden storage unit $2, coat rack $2,  large framed mirror $6, etc ............

In total I have saved in excess of $5,800.00.

Doh! Shucking Fit!

Well - what can I say - another 7 days in hospital. Stoma reversal failed in that it developed into a 'fistula'. Thats NOT good - means I have a hole in my stomach wall that is a direct link to my bowel - therefore exudes waste product. I am again wearing a "bag".

Back from the"other side" - again!

Well, I came home yesterday from hospital where I lost another 7 kilos! Eat your heart out Jenny Craig!
The op was successful I believe - especially since the anesthetist has charged me for 204 minutes ($1800). The op was supposedly only going to take 90 minutes but evidently they found some extra stuff (- which is another story I'll share with you later).

Anyways - it's great to be shuffling around without the colostomy bag!  It'll take me six week to recover from this one so it will give me time to do some serious blogging.

July 22nd .....

Next week I return to hospital for major bowel surgery. I am frantically trying to gain weight so that I don't repeat the weight loss I suffered 4 months ago - I lost 30 kg in 3 weeks whilst in hospital after emergency surgery for a bowel abscess.

Anybody got any suggestions?
